Dr. Garcia moved to approve minutes for March and April. Matthew Harvey seconded the motion.
Discussion of Bylaws
Edited to read "Arts & Technology" (under dept representatives) added to bylaws. Dr. Garcia moved to approve revised By-laws for 2010-2011 school year. Arlene Spaniol seconded the motion. Revised by-laws passed unanimously.

School-wide Discipline Policy for Tier III Students
Ehrlich-Safe and Civil Schools (SCS) to take charge
SCS to call a meeting to discuss next year's school wide discipline
Ehrlich-SCS will meet over summer to address school wide discipline. Garcia okay'd payment for summer meeting.
Christensen-should discipline be done in an ad hoc??
Spaniol-June 1st is the deadline for planner
Garcia-No change to the overall policy-just honing the procedures to address tier 3 students.
ACTION-Santos will set up mtg date and notify SGT, SGT co-chairs will notify staff if they would like to be a part of discipline planning
Yearbook Infractions
Garcia-if students deface a yearbook w/inflammatory material discipline will follow-exclusion from 8th gr activities.
Croom-should we add more zero tolerance issues re: end of year activities.
Santos-give out the info-due process-then deal with it if it happens.
Ehrlich-this is simply being added to the existing plan-not be made separate
Principal Search
Vicky Alt Klug-share out, Super Int said go to SSC to get parameter of what new principal should emulate, RMS has a cultural focus and IB component, we (parents and staff) are recommending that we should have a selection committee to select the new principal. Tuesday Schedule 2010-11
Jay-recommended 9-week schedule change, streamlining the teaming to be on teacher prep days, e.g. Moving committee meetings to after school to free up Tuesday's schedule
Croom-We haven’t decided on next year's schedule yet, let’s wait til we have a 2010-11 schedule.
Jay- mtg meet time can be flexible e.g.-awards committee will only need to meet in Dec.
Lewis-will this be a contract issue-meeting outside of contract hours??
Spaniol-what does the contract say?
Garcia-yes the contract allows for a reasonable # of meetings.
Jay-6-week Tuesday schedule should mirror the 6-week grading period, would be as follows: 2 teacher prep; 2 dept mtg; 1 grade level mtg; and 1 all-staff meeting

Ehrlich-7th grade "Soles4Souls" charity event. Look for advertisements via posters and on RooTube
